HYBRID BLAK : BLAKTRACKS II - Hybrid Blak / HB002

We welcome you back once more to the dark and twisted world of HYBRID BLAK. The London-based label burst out of the gates in 2019 with the veracious intent of finding and showcasing the very best in dark electronica befitting the city's reputation of musical evolution. Spearheaded by local legends Mechanical Vein and Biomechanimal, it soon began to cast its gaze far beyond the borders of their native homeland in search of a particular sound and atmosphere. It didn't take long for the collective to go international, with a roster that carved out common ground despite the oceans that separate them.

After a barrage of singles & remixes, their first joint offering came in the form of HYBRID BLAK : BLAKTRACKS I, a feral assembly of dark, thumping bass, hard-hitting beats, and groundbreaking mashups of styles spanning from EDM to synthwave and industrial. Featuring the likes of American DnB wizard Saltee, industrial royalty Faderhead, and the emotive stylings of ER4SE, one thing was made abundantly clear: this was only the beginning.

And now, moving forward by the force of sheer momentum, HYBRID BLAK is ready to unleash its next chapter upon the unassuming masses: HYBRID BLAK: BLAKTRACKS II. There's no point in releasing a sequel if the intent is not to improve and expand on what came before. So here it is: 12 original tracks showcasing 14 different artists, curated by HYBRID BLAK and supported by Brian Blaknoise of MORIS BLAK. Focusing on the freshest sounds of the underground, HYBRID BLAK: BLAKTRACKS II showcases a veritable smorgasbord of dark and grimy to tear up the dancefloor with.

Familiar names from the HYBRID BLAK pantheon return for a well-deserved victory lap, with Biomechanimal battening down the hatches with metal-infused dubstep, Mechanical Vein & Saltee battering your woofers with drum and bass, and ER4SE returning with his unique mixture of trap-infused dystopian pop.

That's not to say that the new additions to the roster are anything to scoff at. Marvel at the midtempo bass brought to you courtesy of TRiS, Static Starlight, Prophectical, KALCYFR & MORIS BLAK, and SO CALLED. Looking to quicken your pulse? Look no further than the unrelenting ferociousness found within the high-octane breaks of Truly Significant, the drum and bass beats from Sinister Souls & Mechanical Vein, the acid-laden onslaught of bass from Kofin, and the dramatic orchestrations of Sentinel Complex.

No matter your tastes, you can trust on HYBRID BLAK delivering just what your set needs to turn a rave into a rager.
