Following on from a string of momentous releases including Bad To Me Ft Grace Grundy and Dance Forever Ft. Everyone You Know, Hybrid Minds return with the completion of their Reflections EP - out now via their own imprint, Hybrid Music.
Known for their boundary breaking bass music, Hybrid Minds and their releases constantly prick the ears of the circuit with their impeccable production skills. Their releases have rightly earned them spins across the airwaves globally, and their hilarious personalities have even landed them a prime time show on Kiss FM.
In the last year alone, they embarked on a sell-out New Zealand tour and completed an impressive collection of festival shows in the UK, playing to packed out audiences at Reading, Leeds, Creamfields, and Drumsheds alongside Pendulum - where they celebrated their collab, Louder Than Words (to name a few).
Ahead of its release, Hybrid Minds dropped two tracks from their EP. It’s primary release, Bad To Me Ft. the incredibly talented Grace Grundy saw editorial playlist adds across Spotify and Apple Music, spins on George FM, BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM UK, Kiss Dance, Kiss Fresh, Studio Brussels, FM4, triple j, Capital Dance and Apple Music, where the pair were described as leaders in the scene by Zane Lowe during a 20 minute interview. If that wasn't enough, Dance Forever Ft. indie-pop duo, Everyone You Know saw the duo change up their sound for a nostalgic festival anthem, resulting in props from Billboard.
Now completing the EP with new additions Blame You Ft. Dylan, Fire Ft. Stevie Parker and Let Go Ft. Grimm, Hybrid Minds drop one of their most impressive pieces of work yet - the Reflections EP. Fire is an emotive liquid drum and bass weapon brimming with glistening keys and soulful vocal chops from Stevie Parker. Let Go continues with alluring melodies, partnering playful synth structures with beautiful words from Grimm. Whilst it’s focus track, Blame You, co-written with the guys by Holly Humberstone and Frances, sees Hybrid Minds return to their roots where they’ll no doubt embrace crowds singing back the heartfelt topline on dancefloors this autumn. Speaking about Blame You they explained:
"This track has been in the works for a long time and we are so happy to finally get it into everyone's hands! Since nightlife has resumed we've been hammering this up and down the country and the reaction has been insane!"
If this wasn't enough, this weekend they’ll celebrate it’s release by playing it out at their sold out headline Brixton Academy show, with some very special guests joining them. The Hybrid Minds juggernaut thunders on!
Hybrid Minds - Reflections EP out October 14th via Hybrid Music.
