UKF started the year with this powerful work of art. They’ll sign the year out with it, too: the UKF10 anniversary series hits its climactic finale with the massive Camo & Krooked’s ‘Atlas VIP’
One of the unstoppable Austrian duo’s most evocative tracks, ‘Atlas’ was released in February and marked the start of insurgent slew of exclusives from the very best in the game as UKF celebrated 10 years at the very forefront of UK bass culture. A triumphant star-gazer track laced barbed hope, it caught the imagination of fans and DJs alike to become one of the biggest tracks of 2019.
‘Atlas’ also marked the start of a seismic series of tracks from Camo & Krooked this year. The exceptional ‘Loa’, ‘Kallisto’ and ‘Sidewinder’ (both with Mefjus) and the most recent weapon ‘Set It Off’ (with Jeru The Damaja) have all hit the sweet spot with originality, weight and stacks of sudden boundary-blurring surprises.
Now comes the epic ‘Atlas VIP’. Still baked with the same euphoric and emotional poignancy of the original, but laced with added thrust in the bottom end, and abetted by some slight tweaks to the arrangement, it’s what VIPs were invented for… And it goes from nought to goosebumps in 10 seconds flat.
