This is something we’ve been keeping under wraps for a while, but now Onyx Recordings can finally reveal DJ Gaw will be releasing his debut album Tokyo Nights with us on August 27th.
As an artist who started his journey with Onyx Recordings back in 2018 with the release of his debut Behemoth EP, Gaw returning to the label to release his debut album is a fitting moment for both the artist and all of us at Onyx. We’re feeling super proud right now!
We’re especially excited to introduce the first single from the album, which sees two Onyx OGs in Gaw and Disrupta combine forces on “Levitate”. Both artists began their careers with Onyx, so it feels right to launch Tokyo Nights with a hefty, bass-riddled number courtesy of two family friends. Like that wasn’t enough, the pair have even enlisted the sublime vocals of T-Man, whose lyricism ensures the timeless sentiment of the tune.
Trust us, this album is one not to be slept on…
