The new single from Forbidden Society exemplifies why the DJ, producer and clothing brand creator has been a pivotal part of the Czech and wider drum & bass scene since his first release. From headlining festival stages to engineering his own platform for releasing music, his self-titled record label, he’s proven his ability to move his art into different spheres. And with an unstoppable work rate, which saw his latest ‘Liminal Point’ album in 2020 as well as his first release on Noisia’s VISION Recordings, ‘Fade Away’ is another look at Forbidden Society’s development as a producer, where he once more explores his sounds as part of his solo project.
‘Fade Away’ is a rumbling, low-end record that grows with its impact, taking you on journey underpinned by its shaking subs. The track’s bassline jumps and dives between flipping drum loops which gives it even more of an ominous feel; it’s all encompassing whilst showing the stripped back approach to music Forbidden Society has taken.
Following his recent collaboration with Emperor, which saw support from a variety of outlets, including Drum & Bass Arena, Forbidden Society is continuing to ride this wave of success into 2021. ‘Fade Away’ is just another marker, with even more to come from the producer and his label this year.
