Harka is a UK based talented producer and dj, he is constantly exploring 160 to 170bpm music with a clear reference to the footwork, old school jungle and ravey spectrum of sounds. These 4 tracks perfectly describe its musical research and show its great capabilities in programming and producing.
#Harka brings together a melancholy mixture combining elements between the best retro riddims with a futuristic flare. Based in the UK, this Yorkshire lad intends to pull your heart strings with evocative melodies, intense rhythms and sassy hook-lines. His signature hybrid production style incorporates influences spanning the ocean of underground bass music from the UK, to the USA and beyond.
“#BodyTalkin’ ” opens the EP with an excellent mixture of footwork drums and ravey sounds combined with heavy basses and culminating into an addictive rhythm. “#DaysThinkin’ “ gives the name to the EP is a more relaxed tune, that makes a clever use of jazz samples, combined with a drum pattern evolving along the track. This tune fits perfectly in the #Dreamers catalogue with chill footwork jungle sounds. “#45” goes straight to the dancefloor with an aggressive rhythm based on heavy kicks that will make everybody jump, the track finally evolves into an interesting halfstep section that is enriched with ragga vocals. “#Haste” makes clever use of iconic drum machine claps and other samples combined with a synth melody to build an addictive and intriguing atmosphere that evolves into a strings chord progressions in its second part.
