Hello there! I'm honoured to be bringing you the latest release from US drum and bass legend, Karl K. Since unfortunately suffering several strokes in 2017 Karl has been struggling a lot with his mental and physical health. Despite his struggles he has still been making music and here is an EP of his latest work. Older drum and bass heads will doubtless be familiar with his work in the past and for the younger ones amongst us it is well worth delving into Karl's back catalogue and considering helping him out.

Back in 2017, Carl Danner aka Karl K suffered a series of strokes that drastically changed his life. Prior to this he was a touring DJ, a lead singer in a Radiohead cover band, he worked fulltime and was living life to its fullest.
Currently, Carl is unable to work and suffers from the effects related to the strokes. While life has certainly become more difficult for Carl, he has found his will to become stronger through daily therapy, support, and writing music.
Brian from Miracle Drug Music continues "I’ve been following Carl’s updates on his YouTube channel and listening to clips of tunes he’s been working on. In one of his video updates he mentioned that he wants to leave something behind after he is gone. I wanted to help Carl fulfil a part of this by releasing some of his music and also providing him all proceeds from the release. "
"I reached out to Carl and let him know what I wanted to do for him and he was immediately on board. He sent me over an original version of Double Vision followed by a new mix version he worked on for this release."
"He proceeded to work hard on the remaining tracks and sent me 3 additional tracks entitled Tremors, Candy Flip, and Broken. I’ve been following Carl’s music since 1999 when I purchased his record single ‘Synapse’ that includes a Konflict remix."
"His music still amazes me to this day and I am very grateful to be helping Carl get his music out to the world any way that I can."

KARL K Bio
In the early 1990s, Karl K emerged as a DJ at the ripe, young age of 14. He’d come across a pair of Gemini turntables and began to grind his mixing skills at his grandparents’ house in southern New Jersey, after gaining inspiration from hometown heroes Josh Wink, King Britt and Nigel Richards, among many others. After barely a few months, Karl found himself DJing the Rainbow Playground party in Philly, alongside his childhood friend Chris Ritter (DJ Kaos). This important residency in 1992 not only fostered the early days of Philadelphia’s rave scene, but also served as the training ground for Karl K & Kaos to become two of the best jungle and drum ‘n’ bass DJs in the United States.
Karl spent the next twenty years as a touring performer, making a massive impact on the drum ‘n’ bass scene across the country. During this time, he also produced a number of bangers, starting with ‘Synapse’, his breakthrough track released on the label High Education in 1999. He also contributed to a remix of Bad Company’s Grunge 3 alongside Dieselboy and Kaos. Karl K (Carl Danner) is a producer and DJ living in Philadelphia, PA.
