Lavance debuts on Onyx Recordings with his Grudge EP
Lavance is a name some people may be familiar with, but one a lot of others won’t be aware of. As a producer who has been working in the shadows over the past couple of years refining his productions, it’s no surprise this 23-year-old from Belgium is slipping under many radars. But now, Lavance is ready to begin unleashing what he considers to be the best music of his career.
Introducing his debut EP on Onyx Recordings, Grudge. An EP geared for the dancefloor, Grudge embodies the dark mystique Lavance has been dripping into his productions over the years. If you caught his “Flatline” single with Scepticz on 1985 Music or his Totem EP on Counterpoint Recordings, then you’ll know all about the murky sounds this artist can create.
With a history in classical music and a love of cinematic film scores, Lavance is taking his music in a really special direction right now. Don’t be fooled by his upbringing though, this young artist is capable of producing some downright ridiculous sounds – some of which you’ll hear scattered throughout this EP. From the hefty basslines of the title track featuring Rider Shafique, to the intense build-up of “Vermeil”, there’s a lot to love about Lavance’s productions right now.
If you like your music deep, dark and atmospheric, then make sure to keep your eye on this artist.
