MI-KH - #Dreamscape is a dance rave-track with 175 bpm tempo, it is literally saturated with warehouses parties spirit. While making it #MIKH got inspired by different cassette mix tapes from legendary British raves of 90s: #Dreamscape, #Desire, #HelterSkelter, #Roast, #OneNation, #DancePlanet, etc. The main theme that consists from rave era iconic riffs is washed over with soulful bass line with Reese-bass elements and spiced with sensual vocal that was cut "in the old style" from oldskool acapellas, and roller-like Hot Pants break stresses this vibe! The author considers himself as a true old school admirer and tells that his past life ended when he got overdosed by XTC during a rave.
MI-KH - Dreamscape (Command Strange Remix) is a "deep-like" reconsideration of '#Dreamscape' by #MIKH made by Saint-Petersburg producer #CommandStrange (real name is #AlexeyFuifanov) - one of the most famous artists of legendary #VRecordings by #BryanGee and #JumpingJackFrost. #Alexey qualitatively remixed the track so as to make its sound be more like in Mainstream D&B style. The main theme is filled with a deep bass-line and a straight drums part in an easily recognizable #CommandStrange style. #Alexey has already proved himself on the D&B world stage as one of the most forward-looking and successful Russian artists: numerous vinyl releases on the top labels of the genre (#V, #MetalheadzPlatinum, #Integral, etc), a tight tour schedule all over the world, collaboration and co-releases with D&B's greatest stars and he also constantly has his tracks played on the sets and podcasts of the leading DJs of the planet.
MI-KH (real name is #MikhailKhaliulin) is a newly-minted artist of label #LiveHistoryRecords. #Dreamscape is his debut music release. #Mikhail is already known in small circles of sample-spotters: since 2013 he's one of the most active members of the biggest community of sample-searching - WhoSampled. In 2018 he joined the website as a moderator. #Mikhail's creative approach is caused by his conscious sound selection for his tracks, advanced sampling and also making his "analogue" sound which is usual for oldskool tracks. As for his musical preferences, #Mikhail mainly loves old school tracks. He determined his music vision as "searching of new music in the past". #Mikhail leads his own music blog where he shares his knowledge and finds in thematic articles dedicated to electronic music samples. Also, being a great Kevin Sanderson's Reese-bass fan, #Mikhail leads his own open catalogue of the tracks with it. #Mikhail also leads his own show called '#Dreamscape' on the London online-radio DIRTYBASS.
