#NevilleG brings forth a storming sounding four track EP on #DLIQRecords. Famous for his energetic liquid sets, #NevilleG has put together an awesome EP for us to feast our ears upon.
The title track, #JustAnotherHerb has a really underground feel to it, hitting deep in the feels, taking you front and centre of a dark club with driven beats and bassy rhythms. The steady bongos keep the energy alive as you brock out with the pure vibe it gives you.
#ComeTogether is another driven track although provides you more melody to roll along with, the subtle horns and sirens brings a quality old skool feel to the ensemble and the vocal samples over the top, give the tune a story.
#JahFunk starts you off with a great little bongo riff and a spiralling bassline which explodes into a smooth funk on the drop. It’s a beautifully chilled piece of music but you know if you heard it pounding out of a speaker stack in a club, you’d be given the energy to last the rest of the night.
Lastly you have #KnockSoftly; which is another beautiful melody that could take you to the front seat of a convertible cruising along an Californian beach front as the sun goes down. The vocal sample helps drive you through what is otherwise a fantastic composure.
What a fantastic EP from a well established and phenomenal liquid artist.
