Trust Audio guvnor Trex returns to his label with another sick release in Dopamine / One Time.
Not since last years big hitter 'Too Far' have we seen a full single release on Trust from the London beatsmith, so to say it's been eagerly awaited is an understatement.
Dopamine has been doing the rounds on dub for a little while, a select few heads have had the pre masters to test out & the feedback has been so strong that it was inevitable that this was going be Trex's first release on Trust in 2021.
Dopamine packs a punch that is unmistakeably Trex, combining a catchy melody & tough beats with a weighty bass riff that is guaranteed to get even the laziest lockdown couch potato up outta their seat.
One Time is no slouch either & perfectly complements Dopamine to make this a bonafide double A Side release. Slightly more stripped back than Dopamine but still heavy as a truck & production quality impeccable. Intricate drum patterns & uneasy bass notes keeps you guessing but as the track builds the groove becomes clear & makes you wonder how you didn't get it earlier.
Clever stuff from Trex, who really has stepped into another realm over the last couple of years.
Trust are in full gear in 2021 & this release is yet another hot shot that ensures they accelerate even further.
